Goldberg Desktop Variations

Kristina and I work really hard, and spend about 14 hours a day in front of our Macintosh computers. I hate a boring desktop, so we try to make ours distinctive. Here are three recent examples from my iMac G5.

I like mine, but Kristina’s are eye candy. I’ll run a few of hers sometime down the road.

I wish that I could offer a prize to the first person who identified all my folder icons. Maybe that can be a future game.

Cool! My desktop has my grandson’s smiling face looking back at me. :)

I can’t see them all. I see Sally, Hobbes, Nemo, Squirt, Linus and Nigel. If I could see bigger pics I could identify them.

Thanks to internet and .jpg magic, I’m going to go with (from left to right):

Jupiter, Nemo, Dumbledore, stuffed Hobbes, Hobbes, Earth, Squirt, Nigel, Linus, Ali and Sally.

  4. My desktop is empty (no folders, etc). I wonder if anyone’s studied the psychology of the desktop ;-)

All I’ve got is one of the pics OS X offers (the black and white of rock formations poking up through the mist).

John – I wondered that, too – my desktop only contains pertinent “right now” files, folders, etc. Nothing as organized as Richard.
